Pin Picks Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 17, 2026

Who We Are

Pin Picks is a website for creating, organizing, and publishing affiliate product pins and related product content. The public website is available at trackprogress.online.

Information We Collect

We collect product and pin content that you submit, including product titles, descriptions, image URLs, image alt text, affiliate links, category labels, price labels, badges, highlights, and other product details.

If you connect a Pinterest account, we may receive Pinterest account and content information allowed by the permissions you approve, such as boards, board sections, Pins, Pin IDs, and publishing status.

Pinterest API Data

When you choose to connect Pinterest, we use Pinterest OAuth so you can authorize access without sharing your Pinterest password with us. We may request permissions such as boards:read, boards:write, pins:read, and pins:write so the app can list boards and create Pins on your behalf.

We use Pinterest API data only to provide the user-facing features you request, such as selecting a board, creating a Pin, checking publishing status, and showing the result inside the dashboard.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and display affiliate product cards on the homepage.
  • Prepare Pin titles, descriptions, images, links, and alt text.
  • Publish Pins to Pinterest when you request that action.
  • Store publishing history, errors, and Pinterest Pin IDs for dashboard visibility.
  • Improve reliability, security, and troubleshooting.

Access Tokens and Security

Pinterest access tokens and refresh tokens, if used, are handled on the backend and are not intentionally exposed in the browser. We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect tokens and limit access to the features needed by the app.

We do not ask for or store your Pinterest password, session cookies, or private login credentials.

Sharing Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information with Pinterest only when needed to use Pinterest API features you request, such as creating a Pin or retrieving boards. We may also use hosting, database, logging, and infrastructure providers that process information for operating the service.

Affiliate Links

Some product links may be affiliate links. If a visitor clicks a product link and makes a purchase, the site owner may earn a commission. Affiliate partners may process information according to their own privacy policies.

Local Browser Storage

The dashboard may store draft or fallback product information in your browser local storage when the backend API is unavailable. This local information remains in that browser unless you clear browser storage.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep product and publishing data for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain the dashboard, comply with legal obligations, and resolve issues. You may request deletion of your product data or disconnection of your Pinterest account by contacting us.

Your Choices

  • You can choose not to connect Pinterest.
  • You can revoke app access from your Pinterest account settings.
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
  • You can clear local browser storage to remove locally saved draft pins.

Children

This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our service, Pinterest integration, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date above shows when this page was last updated.
